What We’re Saving
The beautiful Porto Cervo, Sardegna has never had a beached whale.
On April 1st, 2019, a pregnant sperm whale died with 48.5 pounds of plastic in her stomach.
Beach cleanups like these are small steps we can take to prevent such horrible tragedies!
An 8-meter (26-foot) sperm whale was found dead off Sardinia with 22 kilograms (48.5 pounds) of plastic in its belly, prompting the World Wildlife Foundation to sound an alarm Monday over the dangers of plastic waste in the Mediterranean Sea.
